Thanks for posting the article, terracore. Isn't it great to have one Big Island Senator who doesn't bother to read legislation (Kahele) and another (Ruderman) who still thinks this is good legislation "in my heart?" The disturbing thing about Ruderman is that he couldn't think the thing through to see the effect giving the state bureaucracy a blank check might have on his constituents until he got a landslide of emails opposed to it. It's apparent that ideology takes precedence over practicality and common sense in Ruderman's world. Not that anyone else in our legislative delegation gets good marks, though. It seems all our House members voted for this, including the inimitable Faye Hanohano who is supposed to be looking out for poor Hawaiians. The rest of us, especially our artists, can go to hell as far as Faye is concerned.
