conflicting surveys

I got my land surveyed by a reputable surveyor recommended here. When I went to see exactly where my corners were on the road I could only find one pin. I called them and asked where the other was they told me it was where it was supposed to be and to look for a path out into the woods. I knew something was screwy when I found it way out in the woods (in Shipman land) so I called them back and told them they were way off. They got quite nasty and rude about it and said they would rebill me if they had to come out and do it again. So I had an attorney give them a call and they were there the next day, still surly and rude, until they found they were off by almost 160'. They never did apologize for their incompetence or manners.
