I don't know a single teacher who will support Abercrombie again, and the teachers were a lot of his real feet on the ground supporters last time around. The union could decide to suppprt him but I don't think they will be able to mobilize many teachers to go out and wave signs this time around. A certain amount of decisions making based on political expediency is standard operating procedure, but he either knew he was making promises he wouldn't keep, or he was hopelessly naive about what he could do once he was in office. Either way I don't think I could hold my nose and vote for him again.
