vog model predicts heavy May 6th

Driving into Hilo this morning you could see how thick the VOG is, i couldn't even see the break wall from the bay front where I park every day. Normally I can see it clearly. The wind has been blowing North on and off for the last week or so and we haven't been having normal trade wind activity when it hasn't been blowing North, instead it has been virtually windless. Several of the models for global climate change predict reduced trade winds for the tropics, I sure hope those models are wrong.
