Little Fire Ants!! Tango Bait Co-op?
#2
Dragon, you may want to read this thread from last fall...
http://www.punaweb.org/Forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=15210

We have been using 'Firestrike' for 6mos. now, and are just getting our first ants since treating in the fall.... and are re-applying...

'Firestrike' is a product from Amdro that has both the quick kill (relatively) of Amdro 'Ant Block' & longer total colony kill of same ingredient as in Tango... probably does cost more that the bulk Tango... but much more comfortable on the wallet to buy one bag of 'Firestrike', esp to see if this product will work...

It did here for 6 mos.(& three houses treating=less than 1 acres), but unless you can get a large amount of property owners all around you to buy into treating, LFA's from untreated areas will swarm & spread right back to the abandoned mounds (the other competitive edge they have is that they will co-exist with other LFA colonies & they have no problem re-purposing other ants mounds - things most ant colonies will not do!)
