Are Rhubarb Leaves Poisonous?

I was just trying to add different foods to our diet, so I bought so Rhubarb at the local market. While looking for recipes, I noticed that the leaves are not edible and could make you sick, or cause your kidneys to shut down. The stock is the only part you can eat.

Has anyone had any problems eating the leaves, and how did you cook them?
