If you want to live in an area most convenient for going into Hilo, HPP and Orchidland would be at the top of the list. Orchidland has 3 acre lots, HPP are 1 acre. I live in Orchidland but there are advantages and disadvantages to both. Leilani has great roads but takes longer to get to Hilo if that is a consideration.

Regarding catchment tanks, the agricultural extension service on Komohana St. has an excellent free publication.
