Aloha Punawebbers,
There is a club right here in Pahoa that cleans 2 miles of the highway into Pahoa, tests keiki for seeing and hearing problems, and deploys generators faster than emergency responders--because we live here.
Puna Lions is a service organization looking for new members. We love members who participate in our activities, but welcome those who only pay dues. Read more about the club here:
http://punalions.org/7.html
We're doing a Food Drive tomorrow Sunday March 8th from 9am until 1pm in front of Longs Pahoa. This drive benefits a Pahoa charity called Hui Aloha O Puna Makai. Everything collected stays right here in Pahoa. Non-perishable food, laundry detergent, paper products are all welcome--anything you might use in your house.
We have fun and we're making a difference in the community! Please consider joining or supporting us! Mahalo
