Aloha Punatics! I fell in love with Puna, most specifically the Waa Waa area about 3 years ago while living in an EcoVillage nearby. I lived in Hilo before that but it is Puna that still calls me. I'm Stateside now, and I've been looking to move back to Puna either full or part time but have had to put that on hold while figuring out the best path for me to do so as well as figuring out financially how I will be able to do so. I'm a female Photographer in my 30's. I'd found a property listed in Waa Waa that felt perfect in every way but I wanted to see it in person before moving forward, and it sold while I was thinking about it, so I'm still looking for that perfect spot. Ideally, I'd love to find something around 3 acres of land with pre-established fruit trees if possible. I figure I could potentially live in a temporary structure on the land while building or in a local EcoVillage. I love the practice of water catchment, growing food organically, and living off-grid with solar power. I also love the kindness and respect towards others that can be lacking in some Communities Stateside (i.e. NYC where I lived for 20 years). I dreamed about Puna as recently as last night. It calls my Soul. I've been reading Punatalk for at least a year or longer, in order to keep in touch with the Community I hope to once again be a part of. I'm so glad this forum exists. It's a pleasure to know you all. Thank you for having me here. Mahalo. Much Love, Laura
