I don't partake in that and think like you do... But you should know that in Asia and Polynesian culture cock fighting is popular. So, just like the good foods, you get the bad parts as well.
There will be a few things you don't like here in Hawaii and with a big diverse mix of culture here there will be plenty of good things you will like. So you have to adjust your thinking here when you get here.
All I can say is "go with the flow"... Doesn't mean you have to change your view's but thinking you're gonna come here to change others views isn't going to happen. So relax and enjoy all the good the island has to offer. I hate to say you sometimes have to turn a blind eye but eventually in time things will change.
I guess to sum it up... If you come here looking for the bad you'll find it, but I'd rather put my efforts into looking for the good.
