in the old days one bad circuit would take out the others. The newer integrated circuitry has fail safe built in
tvs usually have three boards (flat screen)
a power board -
a main board
and a high voltage inverter board that drives the flat screen
power boards are usually the culprit look for12v and 24v pins
if you have a volt meter check the pins for output before buying a board - most models have a diagnostic feature in the led - my vizio is either amber or white - each representing a "mode"
agreed buying new an option - on the other hand -
my motivation.....
keeps one more item out of the land fill or waste disposal system
