Last time we ate there, the hostess (a relative of the owner, I think) said they were just working out the end of the lease, and that losses through the bar (free drinks, theft) were what sent Hokulani's under.
Although it was basically the same people as Hokulani's, I didn't like the food from Native Pasta and Steaks nearly as much. We ate there twice, then decided to wait for the next incarnation. I think they should call it "Charlie's Paradise Hokulani and Steaks"
