Aloha All..
I thought I'd ask you all out there for your insight and guidance..on Health Insurance on the Island..as a new family moving in the next couple months I want to be as prepared as possible. what suggestions do you have to obtain health insurance? I have a 6 year old that currently is being covered by a really great state insurance program for children in NY. Currently we pay about $160 per month for him, but never have we had to reach into our pockets for any medical expense, basically the coverage is great! Is there anything like that in Hawaii for children?
We have our own insurances through employer or individual plan which are shockingly costly..my partner pays over $700 per month for Health Insurance, any insight on which way to go would be most helpful. I would assume we would have to find our own insurance before we arrive? or when we first get there since it will take a little time to find employment etc..Mahalo
