What is Blue Rock?
#13
Depends on where you stay.On our farm we have 50 to 100 feet of sandy loam in Mtn View area.
I use a friend with a hoe ram on his extra heavy duty back hoe.
I created a new topic in puna talk and will ask my fren if ok to post his business in there.
He also does cess pools and gets them approved by the county each n every time.
Just depends how strong you are and what your time is worth.

I personally would never try excavating even a post puka through any kine a'a .

If you are digging tree holes for orchard, may your back for ever be happy and no pian.

Down in discovery harbour area, the a'a is 3 feet thick and under that is a layer of the BEST topsoil of at least 200feet thick on island.Better soil than anywhere hamakua or kamuela .

If you stay puna,mo easy just hire a back hoe with a ram or a jack hammer,i personally rather have a hoe ram and operator .Quick and best for the job.
