Oneself, to answer the question about publishing on kindle: What can I say? It's a process. I'm a graphic designer by trade, so what I did was I laid out my print version and first published that through createspace (amazon's POD division). Normally, if you do this, you'll automatically get a kindle version. But I didn't want what they would put together, esp. bc this particular book is footnote heavy and has illustrations throughout, and I'd heard stories about how it would get screwed up. So I had a tough learning curve there. Ultimately, I used a combination of Microsoft Word, Calibre, and Kindle Previewer apps. I have instruct's if you're interested. Otherwise, if all you have is text and a nice cover, amazon walks you through it rather nicely and all you need is a Word file for the interior, and a .jpg for the cover. As copies sell, you get royalties by direct deposit.
Has it been at all profitable for you ?
