+1 to Rob Tucker's last comment. It's not the fact that Edwards Hunt has a blog, but the elements of temperment revealed by the way she runs it that concern many people. She calls herself a journalist, but has banned people who ask legitimate questions about the journalistic standards she uses. She has threatened those who question her standards or suggest that people not visit her site with legal action, even coming on Punaweb in one case to do so. She inserted her own agenda into the elections office fiasco, which eventually became more about Tiffany than it was about the real problems of running the election. She seems to have it in for Greggor Ilagan, who has a good chance of re-election and who she would need to work with if elected. There's more, but it won't really change anyone's mind.
In the end, all our back and forth on internet forums will have little or no effect on who wins. In Puna, it's all about long-standing personal relationships, family, and ethnic blocs. People in the past who've based their hopes of election on the internet have not done well. Of course, this is all just my opinion, which is worth the proverbial two cents.
