Yeah, they're too busy to look for your stuff, but if you find it at a pawnshop or garage sale, notify them and they will respond. If you take it and the police somehow stop you and they notice stuff as stolen, it' s still "stolen" in the police eyes and your the thief until it' sorted out down at the station. Watch out for unmarked delivery trucks, they have a "crew" in the back box part with bolt cutters, cutting torch, other " tools of the trade", and will back into a driveway to make it look like your neighbor is getting a new washer or fridge, and hunting season is on! In and out in the time of a normal delivery, with everything of value in the back of the truck! If they're not a neighbor, take the time to write down the plate! Might save your own okole some day! I keep small notepad just for that reason, and it's all it's used for.
