Oh, yes, I did confront the employee and then another employee, and the "President of the club", and then- the supervisor of the State Facility. It was quite the experience... The supervisor said that, "they would accommodate my son's disability". But it was just a huge hassle and stress- and evidently there were discussions going on- prior to me arriving with my son. There was never any mention of a problem to me, prior to this experience. So, there was resolution in my favor, and I took my son over to participate in the group. But, I still wanted to publicize what happened, because it was so "uncalled for" and "stressful" - and also, with him standing next to me- just utterly rude. For those of you with disabled kids, you know that it is actually a huge undertaking just to get out of the house at all, and I don't think people should be discouraged from doing so... They need all the encouragement they can get. (and so do the caregivers)
