fishenjim - small correction - the Earth actually had all the elements it needed for life when it was formed - what it didn't have is water which likely arrived a little later on via comets although that's still a little uncertain. The molecular cloud the solar system formed from already had the heavier elements in it needed for life which came from novae and supernovae in earlier generation stars.

Aloha, Mr. Tom, and thank you for the name, Jonathan Adler.I met this man on a few occasions over the years (a few decades worth), and found him quite interesting. (Sorry folks, off topic). He did have his good points, and bless his soul if he did indeed pass.

Back to the topic, a lot of research is being done on this issue, and all I care about is Uncle Robert at the end of the day. We are making sure that he is well,and not doing this at the behest of others. Mahalo to all who truly care about Uncle Robert. JMO.
