Well, you do get to hear about what hell holes other divisions can be.
Anybody ever look at how the roads coming out of Orchidland and intersecting with Hwy 130 don't go straight across to HPP? HPP has their own set of roads that come out and intersect with Hwy 130. All those intersections at T-angles.
It's not hard to understand. All these failed divisions based on mainland transplant layout were done with what were known as suburbs in the 60's, except on the mainland, it was expected the division lots would be developed first. If you look at these failed divisions, and look at their outer boundary, it was a small handful of greedy white carpetbaggers that chopped up their gigantic ag lot for maximum profit. Shipman is basically the only one that didn't do that, and it's whimsical to wonder what would have happened if he had. The people that are living in the problem divisions are experiencing the legacy of those first greedy landowners. Capitalism, don't you love it!
