I too was very impressed with Frances Pueo! Thoughtful, articulate, communicative progressive who I'd never heard before.
I do hope Fran Pueo wins. Having started out as a Tiffany fan years ago, I've been cured of that through her various tirades, some directed at myself but more troublesome, directed at others who, if she is elected, would need to be half of Puna's County Council "team." I have been in meetings where Tiffany has taken it upon herself to vilify and berate Councilman Ilagan, even with him present, other times on her blog.
I pray that whoever is elected in Council Dist. 5 can work w/the representative of Council Dist. 4, for the betterment of the whole Puna district. (I do realize there will be instances that the 2 Puna council reps may need to disagree or pursue goals for their particular district but as a whole, I think we'd agree that Puna hopes our 2 reps can work well together for the betterment of our community.
Ilagan is currently the incumbent and I have been impressed w/his responsiveness and respect for his constituents' views and concerns and the way he treats everyone. Therefore, I and most of my friends intend to vote for Greggor Ilagan. How does Tiffany think she can effectively accomplish goals and work with council members she has publicly dissed?
Very well stated.
As so many have mentioned, Tiffany's affinity for publicly dissing others and holding a grudge are the the biggest reasons why she will not be effective if elected. What other councilor would want to try to form an alliance with her, knowing about her typical behavior?
