so what did you DO for the first 80 days?

A jurisdiction can make a more restrictive ruling, but not a more "relaxed" ruling. The Building Code allows a 120 square foot structure (10x12), with a 12 foot maximum height. Slope of roof may be "squared off" in measurement (think cube size). Plumbing and electrical, if desired, need permits though. Her concept is pretty cool, but to clear out a lot and build a structure on a whim (fly in, fly out) is not my idea of proper use of land or resources. She is also giving loose reference to those that read her post that land is cheap here, they don't care (the County), so come on over and destroy some land. If the building department is busy chasing violators, it takes the time away from those that do play by the rules in wanting to create a balanced, not uniform though, (think setbacks, for instance) parcel with a home of their dreams. On a side note, why do people completely clear cut their lot and cinder it to live in the "jungle" they so desired?
