Yep! I learned that 30 years ago when I was a Park Ranger for the Florida Park Service, which in many cases puts you square in mosquito territory. We had two gripes about our uniforms. They were dark forest green, to better draw mosquitos and they sure did. The second gripe was the material. One of our main duties fire control, to include control burns and fighting forest fires, but our uniforms were polyester, to better melt to your skin. A budgetary consideration I'm sure. I'm not sure they've changed yet, stupid.
I've also learned that when working in the garage in the evening, when the mosquitoes are coming out, to put a fan blowing out in the window furthest from the open bay doors. You get way less inside. They are drawn to the window with the fan because that's where your carbon-dioxide is going.
