Getting the clouds and humidity, some dry lightning in the hills in Ca, but no watta! It's also so hot it's more like AAAGH!! Get away from me, your too hot! Golly I miss what you guys have as you describe Birchl. Rain has never slowed me much, always something to do, including emergency "flow diversion" projects as well! As for fun, set up a "slip and slide" using heavy gauge plastic sheeting down the lawn? Just lather up the kids and yourselves in the rain, and let it rip! For music, how about John Fogarty's " who'll stop the rain" or Burt Baccarach's "raindrops keep falling on my head" as a start, make it a party!
