Happiness in Hawaii is $122,000 a year.

yes. people making less are happy. happiness is relative and hawaii has other positives thrown in. the weather can be tolerated without air-conditioning or central heating. shorts and slippahs are considerably cheaper than boots and overcoats. food is grown and picked and shared. water is clean and comes straight out of the sky Smile people are friendly and care for each other. there are daily, breathtaking vistas that in turn take you to a place of utter insignificance (try standing on mauna kea on a clear night) to being so part of this planet, such an inescapable oneness, that you could burst with it. Smile
