Good information Carol, thanks. Everytime I think I've got something figured out I learn that isn't really the case. When looking at land there is often subtle (and some not so subtle) language in the listing that hints at/dances around the/does-their-best-not-to-come-out-and-say that there are some restrictions or special permits or other things in place that would make building a house a nightmare.
Does Hawaii have any disclosure laws in real estate? If an agent or homeowner knows there is an issue are they legally bound to disclose? And by issue I mean anything from termites to a property being in a special zone that can't be built upon.
