Puna in the 1980's

I remember watching movies in Akebono theater as a kid sitting on old matresses on the floor while the adults drank beer and ate pupus behind us. Ocationally there would be a rat run past the projector or across the screen, and it was no big deal. Times have changed. I was the newspaper boy from malolo st down to beach road on both the shores and beaches side, 150 papers tops. Aunty Nona used to tip me good every Christmas. The neighborhood was much better then.
