HA lots are only 150 feet wide (and 870-something feet long), so if you have a neighbor within about 3 lots, you know all their business.
I can tell you what kind of music my neighbors like, when they come and go, and what they argue about. I'm not spying or even trying to pay attention, but they're only a little farther than my neighbors were on a city lot on the mainland.
I would think you'd need a more square property, or several adjoining lots for privacy.
