According to the Star-Advertiser, there are rumblings that the U.S Attorney's Office in Honolulu is launching an inquiry into the Honolulu rail fiasco. Here is a link, but the pay wall could go up at any time:

The mess is already undergoing an audit, and according to the article, the auditors have complained of less than forthright cooperation from HART. This could get interesting without Dan Inouye to run interference for the "home team." At what point does chronic incompetence become corruption?
