Hawaii: Kapu to Christianity
#9

Not willing to re-watch video but historical facts off and some timelines out of order. General tone was that people saw the light and flocked toward a different religion but reality was that the invaders brought disease that killed off 70-90% of the native people.

As they saw their friends and family dying off from disease they were searching for answers and the people who brought the disease were not dying off. They followed the missionaries out of fear and a lack of scientific understanding.

As far as personal beliefs go, I respect all peoples desire to believe in whatever they wish, yes even flying saucers from you tube videos, as long as they keep it to themselves and willing followers. But I do not like being preached at by people who want to convert others to their particular flavor of faith. How would you feel if someone tried to routinely convert you and your neighbors to Islam? It's really the same as trying to force christianity (and flying saucers) on other people.
