I had the same thing happen to me with Dish. Was paying 70 dollars for just TV. Been a customer for 20 years. I said I was dropping them. They sent me to a special department that handles customers leaving. They practically "gave" me a free pass for 6 months because I told them I couldn't afford it anymore. I still left because I'm not a big TV watcher anymore. Free local over the air is enough these days...
