This might be a record short time for a thread to be derailed by a personal attack.

Building permits are between the homeowner and the county. Sneaking around to take pictures of people using their own property is just plain creepy and should be a concern for everyone. If someone thinks their neighbor is building without permits it only takes a phone call to the county or mousing around the county permit site to see what is going on, no one needs to be invading people's privacy.
