Some of these people may well be hanging out near residences trying to hack household wi-fi routers. You don't need to be too bright to do this as long as you have a laptop and the right software. It would explain why they drive so close to homes but don't actually break in.

Obviously I don't know if this is what's going on, but the hack attempt and the time of these characters driving around the neighbourhood are not very far apart.



Would you get this info over to HPP Neighborhood Watch and Kaloli Point Neighborhood Watch (PAKA)?
Since you live in the Kaloli Point area you are probably aware of the patrolling the PAKA does. It would be good to have an email from you describing what to watch out for.

Thanks for this important info. I had never considered that cars parked with people in them could be hacking.
