kopoho joe, why is the fact that i am freely volunteering my time and energy to my community 'make me a 'flaky furriner artist type who should stick to an easel and leave politics for others'?? i would gladly 'leave politics to 'others', but the vast majority of 'others' appear to lack either the vision to see that things can be better, or the community responsibility to help anyone other than themselves, or the balls to fight to make things better, or perhaps the education to facilitate improvement. take your pick 
kalakoa - yes that is the county process i didn't realize that is was an acceptable part of community association volunteering?
as far as the people who are trying to destroy our community go, that may or may not include our ex council member. certainly to most people's utter astonishment, he appears to endorse at least one of them.
So i have now delivered two written requests for a copy of the complaint, along with a copy of all complaints made against our current board or the community center. i also have an appointment with Mr Lee next Thursday. so i will let you know what happens and what i find out.
