After school programs for kids are so important. I know that many parents work long hours to provide for their families. Perhaps get some of the "many" retired folks and active seniors involved. Bring in some community leaders to talk to the kids, some groups to further the preserving of hawaiian culture. Give the kids positves to fill the time till parents get home. This might be too big of a project, but maybe start it in some way?
