county inspectors used for harassment

jrw. - yes and that is the point here.The point is not how close we are or are not to final. the point is that this sort of harassment has the ability of causing unbelievable harm to ordinary people. if i was living in a tin shack with a compost loo and three kids? i would be terrified. that cannot possibly be acceptable. i have no idea what our rights are.
so this is what i know. i was not reported because my house appeared to anybody to be unsanitary or unsafe. i was not reported because i have upset one of my neighbors. the few that i have look out for and respect each other. i was not reported by the 'tax assessor', or the humane society or any other authority. so that leaves what? that warranted the attention of three inspectors? i do not know what the procedure is for dealing with complaints, so lets pretend that this is just the average response. its still not acceptable.
1) why not simply make an appointment?
2) DO I actually have a right to know who the complainer is??
3) how do i obtain that information in a timely fashion?
4) how do i protect my family from further harassment?
The system needs reviewing. i cannot change the world. i know that. i cannot change those whose lives are motivated by spite. i know that. but i can change the fact that the building department can respond to anything but the most serious issues in this way. i can change that. (i think - maybe - possibly - )
