Paul... I've read all that and a whole lot more. Your link is focusing in on an exploitation issue that occurred during that time. Don't think a fraudster wont take advantage of a perfectly legitimate archeological find. It happens everyday in Egypt and around the word at large but that doesn't make the Pyramids a fraud or the legitimate archeological finds invalid. There's far more to the events than what the Wiki article indicates.
In any case, no, it's not Hawaii related so why are you so intent to focus in on it? I'd recommend taking your argument to those who have studied the events in detail outside Puna web.
The points were put forward to question the origin of Hawaiians with regard to cultural roots and ties, it wasn't put forward to debate legitimacy. If you want to expound upon that aspect of providing answers to those questions then by all means provide some.
