On slide 9 half of physicians feel they are propertly compensated
I agree, doctors are well compensated, and from talking to doctors I know they also seem quite satisfied with their profession.
My comment about their salary was mainly to point out that it's not as much as people think it is, as well as to note they have additional expenses and time in med school which aren't required by most other professions. Their yearly income is not strictly take home pay. Putting their earnings in context with the factors above, their income is still a lot, but most likely not what most of us would think of as A LOT. But as with most things, it's all relative.
