Oh dear Lord I only WISH we could get taxes that ridiculously low in Canada. Our lowest tax rates START at 25% and if you make big money you will pay up to 42% in taxes. That's just federal and provincial (state) taxes, that doesn't include sales tax, fuel tax, goods and services tax (5% to the federal gov on everything you purchase), hidden taxes, etc.
We have Tax Freedom day in Canada which is the unofficial day that you stop working for your taxes and start earning money for yourself. This year it was June 9. http://www.fraserinstitute.org/research-...overnment/
