Safe and Accurate Food Labeling Act

I think the impetus behind the legislation stems from two sources:

(1) the increased cost mandatory labeling would represent to the consumer (affecting primarily the most poor - as usual)
(2) the basis behind labeling being essentially 'fear-mongering' given the scientific concensus that GE foods are substantially equivalent to their conventional counterparts
