Yeah, vbulletin is the forum software that has pretty much taken over. It has a lot of bells and whistles but is quite a bit of work to maintain, usually requiring admins, and is fairly prone to hack attacks. Facebook is making forums look like dial-up modems. Wordpress blog sites are falling by the wayside. For technical specialty sites, forums provide the feedback to provide productive communication so they will stay around as resources, not community sites and chatter. Even with all the misinformation on PW, it still is a kind of news bulletin for a remote rural area.
