So, it seems to get around lack of public range, high prices (myself, and friend at pistol range in Hilo $50/hr. Sharing a lane, plus ammo another $30-$50). I need to get into air guns, and mothball the smokeless powder guns. What I am hearing, as long as pellet does not leave property, neighbor does not see me flashing gun, and does not complain about noise I should be alright. Thanks for all the good info. Folks.
