Siesta needs only a 4 hours of good weather to work , some farmers told me.
The product recommends 12 hours. But If you put it under eaves and areas that stay dry it works longer.
I heard thru the Coconut wireless that the fire ant guy uses it. Don't wanna mention any company names here.
Recommendations are to alternate- Siesta,wait 3 weeks, then Amdro-wait 3 weeks.
Siesta interrupts the feeding cycle.It doesn't kill them outright. Ants go to sleep and starve to death along with the Queen.
Then the next batch of eggs hatch and they eat the Amdro and die.
