Truth is, this island is for laying around and relaxing. Nobody wants to be stuck in an office or sweating in a field or rendering meat all day. This article has numbers on meat on the island. I thought at least most pork would come from this island, nope. 95% pork, goat, lamb are imported. At the time, it was 83% beef imported, probably up to 90% with Parker phasing out beef for the local market. The more people talk about sustainability around here, it seems they aren't using the right word. It is helpless dependence, not sustainability.
