Find some cool neighbors on 5'th, that have the service, Use microwave, it's cheap (line of sight) up to 5 miles.... I just got hooked up, apparently, the comcast guy that came to my house was a real annal about hooking people up that were on temp power, this other tech was cool. He told me as long as there is a ground they can hook anyone up, yes, even on solar!
I'm super happy to get my own connection, but I was also super happy to have had a great neighbor that let me use part of their bandwidth. Of course I wasn't getting even close to a meg down seeing how the router was going though a few walls and a distance of about 300'. I'd help someone if they legitimately couldn't get it.
