Supply/Shipping Problems
#10
Amazon has changed the way it ships to Alaska and Hawaii to save money.

Their previous business model was centered around getting the product shipped as soon as possible in the "Prime" 2-day spirit. Even though things seldom got here in the 2-day window, it was usually fast.

Under their new business model, they do not make any effort to ship things quickly, instead their only goal is to meet the delivery date, and the delivery dates keep getting longer and longer. Typically if you complain about delivery time and they met the delivery date, they will not provide any concession because they have fulfilled their service requirement. If you get something past the delivery date and complain about it, their current concession is usually to extend your Prime membership by 1 month.
