Keonepoko School Runs out of Lunch

It's all well and good to shake our heads at irresponsible people, but it's the kids who are suffering and they didn't get to choose their parents. A kid who has rotten (i.e. drunk, drug-addicted, etc.) parents is already in a living hell. Maybe we can't fix that, but we can at least get them a hot meal, no? (Well, no... not until school is back in session...)

No more pencils
No more books
No more teacher's dirty looks
No more...decent meals on weekdays

Think kids who haven't eaten that day are paying any attention to what the teacher is saying?

I've never heard of a school running out of food before. It's outrageous. Shame on them.
