Okay so I don't know about you guys but feeding "needy" hungry children and feeding kids at an after-school program are two different things in my book.
Sure if you're rich enough and want to feel good about yourself and make a difference go ahead and feed someone elses child. However in my case the parents of these kids drive nicer cars and probably make the same amount of money or more than myself. Most of the kids that sit at the a+ afterschool program are NOT children of poverty stricken parents. BTW this isn't speculation. The kids that ARE really "starving" are the ones that I referred to with the drugged parents that do not work and do NOT have kids at the afterschool program. That would be too difficult and require a pick-up. The drugged out parents rely on bus.
There is a difference between starving and hungry. Sure I was a growing kid and was hungry too, I remember coming home very hungry but I got fed and so do these kids that come home hungry from the after-school programs. but I wasn't needy. There's a difference. The kids I was talking about with the neglectful parents are really the ones that need it. Not the ones you were talking about shockwave.
