Trials and tribulations..

The Doc I saw was Dr. Gutterling, and his office is in the same building as the Hilo urgent care clinic. He's a great guy, and being that he's the only one not on vacation, a very busy guy. I think he was tending to three or four patients at once when I was there, running from room to room like a track star. So far the recovery is going pretty well. The pain isn't so bad any more so I'm off the pain meds and just taking naproxen in the morning and night. I'm able to get around a little better, so my wife has been taking me to coconut island during the day so I can get a little fishing in while she collects shells. This has made the days much more pleasant, and I get some fresh air and sun (when it's out), and of course some fishing, which is great for me. All our usual fishing spots would be impossible for me to get to, so the drive into Hilo is well worth it. I don't think I'll be pulling the surfboard out for a while though. But I try to do what I can to avoid the depression of being out of commision, and so far so good.
