I don't think either a recall or impeachment will change his pension status, pensions are awarded by length of time as a county employment, knocking a few months or even weeks off the total time (8 years as mayor plus all the time he worked under Kim) isn't going to cause Kenoi to lose his pension. Some states do not allow politicians to be part of the pension system, others do not allow people who were dismissed for crimes committed as a public servant to get their pension, but somehow I doubt Hawaii is one of them.
